Indiana Avenue Projects

PURPOSE: Perpetuate the legacy of Indiana Ave Jazz heritage.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Produce side by side projects assisting with the development, creation and distribution of a marketable product while learning about the past, current and future of Indianapolis Jazz

TARGET AUDIENCE: Coburn Place, Crane House, Lutherwood, Julien Center, Children’s Bureau

EXAMPLE PROJECTS:

1) Re-purposed Furniture Picture Sculptures: Sculptures made from pictures of local jazz musicians of today and yesterday.

2) Audio Compilation: Hampton Sister, JJ. Johnson, Dave Baker, Jimmie Coe, Pookie Johnson, Wes & Buddy Montgomery as well a current and upcoming talent associated with Indpls Jazz and Indiana Ave.
