Alley Art Mural Music Fest

DESCRIPTION: A street fair gathering with music, performance and participation painting of a wall or tiles that culminate in a permanent installation mural individualizing community and celebrating diversity.

PURPOSE: Group Mural experience connects neighborhood youth alongside local law enforcement  and or community leaders promoting collaboration, community awareness, unity, and respect.  Art can function as a bridge to understanding others as well as ourselves.  It can provide a supportive, creative atmosphere where social and cultural development and understanding can take place  learning to appreciate each other’s differences and similarities in a supportive atmosphere of teamwork.

TARGET AUDIENCE: Neighborhood youth in rural and metropolitan communities.Juvenile Detention Centers, Mentally and Behaviorally challenged youth and families.

SIZE: tailored per project 

DURATION: One day 4 – 6 hrs

LOCATION: On site. Needs a space large enough to accommodate an exhibit reflecting all participants.
